Incredible Tour and Staff! I had an absolutely amazing time on this tour!! Our guide Saad was extremely knowledgeable about the area, its history, and the timing of visiting all of the locations! We were the first group to visit each of the locations which made it particularly amazing for photography! Our driver Honey was very safe and knew the island like the back of his hand!! The entire staff was amazing and the food was wonderful every step of the way!! I couldn’t recommend this tour enough and we truly had such a spectacular time!!

Nothing short of Amazing! My experience was one that i truly enjoyed. There is no getting around seeing the ills of the island, however you also experience the warmth of the people and the islands natural beauty. It is truly easy to be in Socotra and appreciate life and how to make the best of it. The week flew by and our host Traveling Socotra saw to our desires in a timely fashion. Since i have not been or sought out other companies, it would not be fair to compare. With that said, this is where and who you should choose to guide you through your Socotra experience!

Great way to experience Socotra! This was such a great way to see Socotra. When I heard we had to camp I didn’t know what to expect but let me tell you we had it good! This was luxury camping. We’d show up and our tent would be set up. Our food would be ready to eat. Our luggage would be in our tents. It was so easy.

Even though I travel a lot, I often feel sick when travel from food, but the I felt great the entire time.

Our guides were helpful in helping us make sure we were at the locations that we were most excited about. Overall, just a very exciting and beautiful experience.

Traveling Socotra - November 2025 My wife and I visited Socotra for a week in November 2025, using Traveling Socotra to organize the trip. We compared other travel agencies before choosing Traveling Socotra, and we definitely made a great decision. Everything about the experience with them was superb. Our main contact was Ellemieke. She could not have been more prompt or helpful throughout the entire booking process. She quickly answered the many questions. She made all arrangements for us, including the Yemeni visa and the humanitarian flight from Abu Dhabi to Socotra. Everything went exactly as planned. Thank you Ellemieke and team!!

The actual time on Socotra was amazing. We selected the deluxe tent package which included an inflatable mattress, very welcomed after full days spent hiking and swimming. Our local guide, driver and chef were incredibly friendly and welcoming to us. We spent most evenings with them in the "kitchen", learning how they prepared the food while also being introduced to their local singing and dancing.

Socotra itself is incredibly beautiful and diverse. Our campsites varied from being on gorgeous beaches, in the desert sand dunes and in the mountains in the Dragon Blood tree forests.

Tranquil, off the grid experience The whole experience, from researching the possibility to go to Socotra up to the last day on the island was amazing. The booking experience was so easy, the team from Traveling Socotra did everything, I just had to show up. The cost of the trip is worth every cent I paid for this trip. The attention to detail and to make the experience memorable is something I have to commend our tourguide Mr. Saad on and also my friendly and very attentive driver Mr Baher, and every single member of the team for their friendliness and role in making the trip memorable.
As a group we were playing traditional Socotri games to pass time at the camp in the evening that was so much fun.
The chef and his team ensured we eat fresh food every day. The fish was freshly caught and well prepared every meal.
I loved that the group was small, we were only 6 in the group.
I loved the tranquility of the island, and the break from screen time. I deliberately opted not to be connected.

Great choice when visiting Socotra! Well run agency with excellent trained, friendly and helpful staff. Skilled drivers, plenty of food, descent equipment. The trip went smoothly without any issues, we all left the island satisfied, Traveling Socotra had much to do with that. Certainly a good option when visiting this unique place.

Unique, memorable experience... Whilst there are a lot of primitive aspects to this trip, the staff, food and hospitality more than made up for this. Our guide, driver, chef and other staff went out of their way to ensure the trip was memorable, unique and comfortable. The trips by boat and 4x4 were excellent, informative and special. We saw dolphins close up, experienced the unique forest and visited a town. The food was fantastic and plentiful, best lobster we have ever had. The tent was large and comfortable with lots of homely touches. Whilst expensive, every detail was arranged, flights, visa, accommodation, food, trips and very friendly and knowledgeable staff. A unique and memorable experience.

Best choice for comfortable, sustainable and educational Socotra travels! Stayed on Socotra Island for a week and was absolutely spoiled by the comprehensive service provided by the Traveling Socotra team. From booking the flight and arranging the visa to everything on the ground (transport, deliciously freshly cooked food, tent set-up and luggage transfers), the smooth logistics are unmatched. One great benefit was that campsites do not move every single day, so there was some breathing room to unpack and pack while being on the road. Plus, the team is knowledgeable of all the scenic spots and their stories, making the trip a fun and educational one.
